Dave Frankish, 61, of Cheshire, has worked in Local Authority Building Control since 1987.

Throughout his career, Dave has assisted hundreds of residents, builders, and developers in achieving building regulations compliance.  He’s also been on a front line in ensuring public safety with various reported dangerous structures.

Dave started his career in 1987, at the then Macclesfield Borough Council, moving to the newly formed partnership East & South Cheshire Building Control, which later became part of Cheshire East, throughout his career Dave predominantly covered the areas of Poynton, Macclesfield, Wilmslow, and Disley.

In 2015, he made the transition to the wholly owned Cheshire East company, Civicance Ltd, who deliver the Building Control function along with other services on behalf of the authority, and continued to deliver Building Regulations support in the area.

We would like to thank Dave for all of his contributions and hard work over the years and wish him a relaxing future retirement. He will be greatly missed throughout Cheshire East and within the Civicance team.

He is looking forward to spending time doing two of his favourite things, spending time in North Wales, and cycling.

As Dave’s retirement gift, he chose a contribution towards a brand new folding bike, shown in the photo above, and intends to move to the sea-side to enjoy his retirement near the coast.
