Finalist for another National award!
21 April 2017
Cheshire East has reached the final 6 within the ‘Most Improved Council’ category; which is considered great recognition for the Civicance Ltd team at the end of its 2nd year in operation. The new concept has ensured the sustainability of key statutory services in an effective and efficient manner.
Civicance, launched in April 2015, continues to deliver a first class, unique and innovative service for residents, companies, designers and developers working in the built environment. The exciting company demonstrates Cheshire East Council’s commitment to its residents in providing high quality services encompassing Building Control, Local Land Charges, Address Management, Planning Support, and much more.
This ‘Most Improved Council’ category recognises those local authorities that can display how councils have tackled poor performance either within their own management structures or within service areas and as a result have seen proven improvement.
Entries were required to describe the journey to improvement, highlighting the obstacles as well as encouraging the facilitators, along with the nature of any external support. Entries also outlined the role of elected members in the improvement process.
Judges look for evidence of a clear and ambitious vision for improvement while being prepared if necessary to adapt to changed circumstances in order to meet their goals.
The awards ceremony will be held at the prestigious London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, on Thursday 15th June. You can view all of the finalists here: https://awards.themj.co.uk/finalists
